So we took a trip up to Idaho for the Solomon Family Reunion. It was so much fun to see family and hang out. It was the first time camping with Brayden and he did really well.
It was so HOT on the way up there and the air conditioner doesn't work in the truck so we stopped at Devil Creek Reservoir. We've driven by it a million times and never stopped. It was actually really nice. The temperature dropped 10 degrees down by the water and the water was nice and cool but not freezing. We let the dogs swim around for a bit and even Brayden dipped his toes in.
Our numbers at family reunion keep improving...last year we had 3 out 6 of Jeanette's kids there. This year we had 4 out of 6 families there. It was a lot of fun watching all of the cousins play together.
Roy found this flannel shirt on sale and how could we resist. :)
Ben was so good with the babies. He was happy to just sit with them all day...until they got a messy diaper of course.
Uncle Doug clipped his fingernails and Brayden was fascinated.
The kids we messing around with my camera and actually got a couple of good ones. I think Alexis took this one of Peter.
And Peter took this one of Evan. Evan took one of me but I won't torture you with that.
Our coup isn't quite big enough for 7 chickens so the newer ones are getting picked on by the older hens. Since the older hens wouldn't let them roost in the coup, they found another option...
They jumped over the fence and roosted in the neighbor's tree...silly birds. It doesn't happen as long as we let them wander the yard. They roost in the barn instead. I don't know what we'll do when the tomatoes are ripe...
He loves books...to chew on at this point but hopefully someday he will enjoy reading them too.
There have been a lot of fires throughout Utah. We had one really close to us on the mountain. This is maybe a ten min drive from our house. It looks like a volcano.
The 4th of July was fun. We had a BBQ at my Dad's and then did small fireworks at his house. We decided to forgo the Davis High fireworks show because they tend to favor the really loud and bright ones. I didn't want to risk Brayden's eyes and ears. Roy and Ryan were in charge of lighting them.
Brayden was pretty grumpy by this point.
She was being the Statue of Liberty.
We had root beer floats downstairs afterwards and Arielle and Brayden crashed on the beanbag.
3 July 2012 - Brayden is officially mobile. He has started crawling everywhere and getting into everything! And just 2 days later, he started pulling himself up to standing; in his crib, on my leg, on this gate. It doesn't matter that he can't get down but gets super tired and flops backwards only to hit his head on something. Nope, that's what they make skulls for, right? Crazy kid...
He even decided to help Dad build the new entertainment center.
Everyone loves a new church outfit. :)
I love my boys. :)
